Suzanne French Luker expresses her love of European culture in a contemporary, realistic impressionism with just enough abstraction to make familiar ideas come to life in new and exciting visual terms.   Luker finds patterns of shimmering light and shadow in the flowers, cliffs, and village life of France and Italy, celebrating the splendid culture and topography of her subjects.  Her paintings of the biologic wonderland that is the Everglades celebrate nature wild and free. Whatever her subject, Luker uses outline, arbitrary color, and perspective distinctively and brilliantly for lasting visual and emotional impact.
